Andrew B received an Academy Award because he shared his ipad with another student.  Way to go Andrew!!

Mae B received an Academy Award because she shared her ipad with Amelia when Amelia's ipad battery ran out.  Amelia said, "Mae was very good at sharing!"  You are awesome Mae!

Braeden L. received an Academy Award for sharing his swing with a classmate!! Thank you Braeden - you are a great school friend!

Wade M. received an Academy Award because he shared extra pj's with a classmate for our pajama party.  You are awesome!!

Luke L received an Academy Award for going out of his way to help a teacher who was locked out of the building.  Thanks for letting me in Luke!! 

Bryce W. received an Academy Award because he let his friend borrow his rest blanket because he was so sad that he had let his at home.  That made his friend so happy. You are such a good class friend - thank you Bryce!!

Gavin R. received an Academy Award because he cleaned up a friend's snack without even being asked. Thank you so much for being an Academy School friend - you are an Academy School Star!!

Meredith L received an Academy Award because she shared her snack with a classroom friend without even being asked.  Thank you for sharing Meredith!

Chloe S. received an Academy Award because she was a hero. She went to find  a teacher when another child was being teased. You are an awesome friend and Academy Star!

Julian E. received an Academy Award because he helped a sad friend.  Thank you so much Julian - you are awesome!!!

Ava B received an Academy Award because Ava saw another kindergartener who was looking sad and asked her to do a lap with her.  Way to be a friend Ava!!

Madison W. received an Academy Award because she is such a fantastic friend.  She did such a great job bringing two hurt kids down to the health office.  Madison also did an awesome job letting the staff on the playground know that someone was hurt.  You are an Academy Star!!  Great job!!

Dorian P received an Academy Award for helping a friend who was feeling sad by inviting him to play at morning recess. Thank you Dorian!!!!!

Alex K received an Academy Award because he was a great sport and leader  by making sure everyone was included in the football game at recess.  You are awesome!!!!!!!!

Ava S F received an Academy Award because she took the time to straighten out all the lunch trays that were in the hallway for Ricky.  Very nice job going about and beyond Ava!!!!

Ava B received an Academy Award  because she helped Meredith with making a necklace because Meredith has a broken arm.  You are AWESOME Ava!!

Dreshawn D. received an Academy Award for helping Ms O'Neill solve a very difficult problem.  Thank you Dreshawn!!!!!

Isaac G received an Academy Award because he showed his friend kindness and caring.  Thank you for taking care of those around you.

Kyle W. received an Academy Award for volunteering to hold the door @ morning recess for the whole week with another student.

Emma B was willing to give up her spot at the front of the line and go to the end of the line to comfort a friend who really wanted to spend time with her.   Way to go Emma!!!!

Jack P received an Academy Award for an OUTSTANDING effort in Boxtops collection.   Thank you for your work to support our school.

Adrianna C received an Academy Award for being a great friend and model school citizen by helping her friends when they were hurt and sick.  It meant a lot  that you walked them to the health office so they would not get lost or be afraid. Caring Counts, good work!!

Nina N you were an outstanding citizen yesterday when you walked with with your friend to the health office.  You know how important it is to take care of one another.  Thank you, Nina - Nurse Amy

Elijah C received an Academy award did such a nice job of helping a friend clean up their big mess. Super Job Elijah!!

Dan P. received an Academy Award for helping other students.  When younger students were playing basketball outside, the ball got stuck in the net and would not come down.  Dan saw that they needed help and left what he was doing to get the ball down.  Thank you Dan!!

Aurora F. received an Academy Award for giving a friend a snack that he really wanted. That was very kind of you Aurora!!!

Rachel W. received an Academy Award for cleaning up for her friends at choice time. Thank you Rachel you are a great friend!!

Ivan L. received an Academy award for helping a friend do his best. Thank you Ivan!!!!!

Dorian P. received an Academy for helping his classmates with their spelling - without even being asked. Thanks for taking care of your Academy friends.

Andrew B. received an Academy Award for offering a chair to a person in his classroom. A parent volunteer in Andrew's class complained of her aching knees. Without saying a word Andrew found a chair for her to rest in. You are awesome Andrew.

Jordan L. - Thank you so much Jordan for bringing your injured little buddy to the health office. Your continued acts of kindness and caring amaze and inspire me. Academy School is a better place with you in it.

Alyssa M. received an Academy Award for being such a good friend and role model for a kindergarten buddy. Your help and kindness in bringing a hurt friend to the health office is the kind of caring that makes the world a better place.

Arianna H. received an Academy Award for taking the time and assuming the responsibility for a little buddy so that he makes it to the health office each and every day. You are a very responsible your lady. Thank you.

Willem T offered to give another student his brand new eraser because she lost hers. He was extremely thoughtful to do this. Way to go Willem!!

Catherine C received an Academy Award for knowing what to do in an emergency. You brought your friend to the Health Office and stayed very calm. You are an Academy Star!!

Emma B. received an Academy Award for being an outstanding citizen and a good friend. Emma- you knew what to do in an emergency! You saw a student who was injured and you found a grownup and stayed with her the whole time! GOOD JOB!!

Deja C. received an Academy Award for offering to hold the door for her schoolmates and adults when the morning bell rang.

Caden W. and Justin A. received an Academy Award for going above and beyond cleaning and organizing their classroom. Thank you Caden and Justin

Brynn R. received an Academy Award for helping a staff member when she fell. Brynn not only asked if she was ok, but extended a helping hand. Awesome Brynn!

Tristan P. received an Academy Award from Gina Dyer for giving the student behind him the breakfast the very last yogurt at breakfast time. That is some awesome sharing. Thank you Tristan!

Chelby E. received an Academy Award from Mr. Cummings for stacking chairs for several days when it wasn't even her job. Mr. Cummings really appreciated it. Thank you Chelby!

Lindsey W received an Academy Award because she noticed a friend was sick and needed to go to the nurse. Lindsey volunteered to put away all of her friend's rest things. What a great friend! Mrs. Parzych

Tarah G received an Academy Award for lending her winter coat to a student who could not find hers. That was very kind of you Tarah - Thank you!

Jasper R. and Jonah P received an Academy for helping a classmate complete a project. Thank you so much for being great friend.

Gale A, Josh N, Cole M, Amelia G, Alana W and Elizabeth D received an Academy Award for helping a teacher at dismissal time with younger students. She said she could not have done without their help!! Thank you.

Brandon D. received an Academy Award from Mr. J because he picked up a bunch of papers that Mr. J dropped in the hallway. He didn't even have to be asked!!! Mr. J left the papers in the hallway so that he could drop things off and come back to pick it up. Before I could go back to pick up the papers, Brandon brought them all in to me. Thank you Brandon!!

Asia D and Makayla A received an Academy Award for helping their classmate finish a project. You are awesome Asia and Makayla!

Liana W. - Liana received an Academy Award because she cheered up a sad friend by asking her to play. Thank you Liana!!

Madison F. Madison picked up a spill without being asked just to be helpful. Thank you for being so helpful and thoughtful Madison!

Shadda C. - Twice this week, Shadda assisted kindergarten students in need. First, she escorted a child who was hurt and needed to go to the nurse. Next, she helped a student who was having a trouble with their backpack. Shadda is a caring person! Mrs. Rabideau

Emily C. in Tine Reed's class received an Academy Award for helping us tie skates at the rink last week-It was a big help!

Luke L. saw a mess in the hallway and stopped to clean it up without being asked. Thank you Luke!!!!!

Shadda C. receivd an Academy Award for showing special kindness to a classmate. Thank you, Shadda.

Ezra L received an Academy Award because he showed concern and compassion for another student who wasn't feeling well. He also helped to pick up without being asked. Thank you Ezra!!

Margo P. helped her friend clean up pasta beads after they fell all over the floor. Great Job Margo.

Jordan W. received an Academy Award from Mary Leary because he stayed and helped with Kindergarten bus duty even though his ride was here! Thank you Jordan!!

Jade H received an Academy Award from Ms Nam because Jade helped cheer up a sad friend. You are awesome Jade and we are so happy you are here!!!

Lily H and Lucy P came into my classroom and saw that some coffee had spilled. They cleaned up the spill on their OWN, without being asked. Thank you, Miss Kathy

Iain C cheered up a friend. Iain saw that a friend was very, very sad, so Iain gave up his choice time to cheer up. What a great classmate!!!

Liam W. brings coffee EVERYDAY to our crossing guard. Thank you, thank you, thank you Liam!!!!!!!

Gale A. and Eliya P received an Academy award from Alison Paquette for holding the door for her when she was carrying a heavy Four Winds box, without even being asked! Thank you so much!!

Drake S. received an Academy Award for helping Mrs. Smith. Drake noticed that Mrs. Smith and another teacher's arms were full and he stopped to open the door for them. Thank you Drake!!

Kristopher C. and Jordan L were playing dodgeball during the grade 3/4 recess. They noticed a student who had never played dodgeball and wanted to join in. All of the 4th grade students included the child in the game, helped him with the rules and were very kind. Kris and Jordan were especially patient with the inexperienced child and they made him feel great! Thank you both and keep up the good work!!

Courtney D. received an Academy Award from Mr. Paciulli for making sure her cousin Colby got on the correct bus and home safely. Way to go Cousin Courtney!!!!




Natasha S. received an Academy Award for sharing her flashlight for her classmates to light up the bathroom during the power outage. Thank you so much Natasha.

Kayla P was playing soccer with a group of her peers. One of the students was hurt and wanted someone to go with him to the nurse's office. None of the students wanted to leave the game except Kayla. Without even being asked, Kayla offered to go with him and he accepted. WAY TO GO KAYLA!!!!!!!

Brett P. received an Academy Award because he helped clean up a big spill that was not even at his table!

John I. received an Academy Award for helping in math every morning in such a positve way. Thank you so much John!

Zain S received an Academy Award for helping pick up for others (without being asked!!) Way to go Zain!

Nathaniel, Deanna, Ema, Kiersten and Val sold, made and delivered XOX Grams to raise money for our sister school, La Escuela de Cabarete, in the Dominican Republic. These students raised $200 which was used to buy school supplies like notebooks and markers for our amigos in the DR. Thank you!! Chris Szpila

Ankita, Eniola, Emmalee & Brooke went on a mission to retrieve tennis and playground balls that were accidentally been tossed over the fence. The girls returned over 50 balls (mostly tennis) to the Academy playground. Nice community effort ladies! - all in my class. Chris Szpila

Ashley L. shared her own paper with her classmates during quiet lunch time, so they could draw while they listened to a story. Thank your Ashley! Sue North

Chloe G. in Mrs. Parzych's class brought in her brother's old dinosaur book to give to a friend who loves dinosaurs. This showed such thoughfulness and knowldge of her friends. It was very kind!!

Max D. in Mrs. Parzych's class went and picked up all the rest mats for his friends who were out of the room. Max did this without even being asked!! Super job Max!

Molly S. received an Academy Award for being an excellent classroom citizen by helping a peer in need. Thanks, Molly - your caring and kindness are greatly appreciated!

Clarissa C. received an Academy Award for being kind and caring. Clarissa helped out a classmate who was sad. Awesome Clarissa!!

Maya W. noticed a friend with a problem and took time at choice time to help the friend. Maya is a good, kind friend. Way to go Maya!

Jasper E. for being generous! Jasper donated all his coins for Haiti and shared his boots with a friend? Thank you Jasper!!

Josephine D. for being a great friend!! Josephine tied a classmates shoes and boots today. She is very kind!!

Gavin W. in Orly Hasbani's class is so excited to help clean up the room after the bell rings at the end of the day. He stacks chairs, sharpens pencils, erases boards, and more. Thank you, Gavin

Chloe G. was so kind to me today! She helped me break apart the connectogons and sort by color and it wasn't even something that she had played with. Thanks Chloe!

Evan B. in Mrs. Parzych's class showed outstanding sportsmanship & friendship by letting a girl win musical chairs because he "did not want her to feel bad." Way to go Evan!

Zain S. in Ms Nam's kindergarten class keeps the playground in shipshape. Zain picks up all the debris. Because of Zain's good example many other children followed suit and keep our playground looking beautiful. Thank you Zain!

Sam G. has been playing with his kindergarten buddies at recess and has been very patient and kind with them. Way to go Sam!

Evan B in Maureen Parzych's class was very helpful to our substitute while I was at lunch. He even helped her clean the tables!! Super job Evan!!

Cassidy M. in Maureen Parzych' s class was so helpful ot a friend in class. She stopped her choice tim and helped pick up a can of markers that had been dropped on the floor. Super job Cassidy!

Madison V. in Ellen Nam's class has received an Academy Award for ALWAYS being a GREAT helper to all. Thank you Madison.

Jem C in Kathy Cassin's class. Jem is always willing to help his classmates. He is very kind and very considerate of others. He was very helpful when I have had subs in the room too.

Torie H. - Tori is constantly volunteering to help out. Passing out papers, dumping the lunch trash, picking up a mess. She is always there to help out - and we in room 128 appreciate her efforts.

Ben K. - Ben volunteers to dump the lunch trash everyday. In fact, many days he will face down other volunteers in a game of rock, paper, scissors for the privilege of doing the chore. You gotta love helpful energy like that!

Shadda C has earned this Academy Award for outstanding cooperation in the classroom. She has been volunteering to lend a helping hand to her classmates and teachers even when it's not her responsibility, like helping other students clean up at lunchtime, holding open doors and offering to do other jobs as well!! Way to go Shadda!

Musi in Ms Nam's class received an Academy School award for being kind and helpful to all her classmates. When Ms Nam announced to the class that one on them was receiving an award for being helpful to everyone. All the students knew that it was Musi and shouted out her name.

Amelia C. in Pam Maile's class always work hard at school. She gives everything her best effort. She is kind and helpful to everyone. Way to go Amelia!!

Isbella T. in Pam Maile's class is always very kind! She is a good friend to many people and works hard all day long. Great job Bella!!

Trevor A. in Mrs Szpila's class received an Academy Award for stepping uyp to help a lost soul. What would we do without you Trevor!!

Megan P. in Ms Ashley's class has been very patient when others have ben unkind. She uses self control and gets help from a teacher. Megan is also very helpful when other students need help. Thank you, Megan!!

Archer P. in Ms Hasbani's class received his Academy Award for his excellent performance at lunchtime and displaying his awesome listening skills!! Way to go!!!!!

Thomas R. in Mr. Johnston's class received an Academy Award for going above and beyond to help diffuse a potentially explosive situation in a responsible and respectful way.

Jared A in Mrs. Schultz's class has been so helpful in class this year. When I am looking for a volunteer to do a job or clean a mess, Jared is ready to give his assistance! Thanks, Jared!

Tobin L in Mrs. Schultz's class has received the perseverance award! She works hard at all tasks and she is always quick to offer a smile even when challenges arise. YOU are one terrific kid, Tobin! Just as your middle name promises you bring JOY to the classroom.

Lucy S. in Mrs. Schultz's has received the Great Attitude Award! Every day Lucy comes to school ready to learn. She is enthusiastic and friendly! She is like a ray of sunshine in our classroom daily! Thanks for being so delightful, Lucy!

Kelli R. in 3rd grade always puts things away that we find lying around, such as erasers and 100s charts. Great job Kelli!

Mason L in kindergarten gave up his spot at "buttons" during math class to a friend. Buttons is a very popular choice. Way to Go Mason!!

Tyler D.H. made our new student, John, feel at home by volunterring to share his cubby, helping him with his work, escorting him to the nurse and all on his own!! Thank you Tyler!!
