Our classrooms are multiage grades 1 and 2. The children are off to a terrific start. We have begun our study on insects. Ask your multiager how many legs an insect has or how many body parts! They are very excited and engaged in this topic!
Book bags go home every night from Monday to Thursday. The book bag needs to return to school every day! Initial ONE box to show your child read the book and we will put a sticker on the chart to keep track of reading accomplished.
Homework will begin Monday, September 15th. A blue folder will come home on every other Monday. In the folder you will find a spelling with your student's spelling words on it. Students must write one complete sentence for EACH word. Inventive spelling is encouraged except on spelling words which should be spelled correctly and independent work is also encouraged. PLEASE don't write for your child! Remind your child to use a uppercase/lower case letters and correct punctuation as appropriate.
