For Grades 1- 2:  Keegan had one dollar.  He bought a glass of cider and a bran muffin.  How much did he spend?  How much money did he have left over?

For Grades 3-4:  Peter bought 5 packages of hats.  They were packaged 6 in a box for $ .89 per box.   He gave away 26 hats at his birthday party.  How many hats did Peter have left?                    


Grades 5-6:  Brandon has 15 gallons of gas in his car.  A trip to his aunt's house uses ten gallons.  Then, Brandon puts three gallons more in the tank.  A trip to the ballgame uses four gallons, and then Brandon puts another eight gallons in the tank.  How many gallons are in the tank now?
