The Academy community lost a beloved teacher, friend, and colleague this past Saturday.
Connie had a heart as wide as the world. To be in her presence was to be graced with an open heart, generosity and kindness.
Connie had a big sky view that embraced and celebrated each individual for who they are. She always made time to listen and her warmth was felt by those around her. She had a love of life and that love ran deeply to touch those she lived, played and worked with. She taught us how to be better individuals.
She was born April 8, 1960.
Connie received a BA in 1982 from Brandeis University; received her MA in 2000 from SIT in Teaching English as a Second Language; and was in the Peace Corp in West Africa from 1985-87. In addition to working in the US, she taught in Mexico and El Salvador. She started working for WSESU in September, 2001.
Her friends, colleagues and students miss her beautiful presence. She will always be remembered.
